FOREIGN PASSPORT (Except for those who are Diplomats/Officials)

REQUIREMENTS :

  1. Alien Certificate of Registration (Photocopy) (Please present the original upon application)
  2. Re-entry Permit to the Philippines (Photocopy),Chinese (Mainland) Passport Holder
  3. Guarantee Letter
      • Format available at the Embassy Website, at the entrance of Embassy or accredited agency.
      • There is no need to submit this form for invitees of Japanese national/local government organization or for invitees whose purpose of visit is for official invitation by the section chief/university professors/member of higher position of research institutes of independent administrative agencies of Japan.
  4. Income Certificate (from City Hall) or Bank Certificate from Japan.
      • Must come from City Hall in Japan. “Gensen-Choshu-Hyo” is not accepted.
  5. Residence Certificate (JUMINHYO).
      • This is only applicable if Guarantor is Japanese.
  6. Foreign Registration Certificate from City Hall and Passport Copy (all pages).
      • This is only applicable if Guarantor is not Japanese.
  7. Employment Certificate (Not applicable If applicant has permanent resident in the Philippines and shoulder any part of travel / living expenses.)

PLEASE NOTE : It is applicant's responsibility to ensure that he/she meet the requirements for the grant of a visa. Submission of any supporting documents not listed above is encouraged (e.g. applicant's economic or social ties with the Philippines.)


Submission of requirements does not guarantee issuance of visa.
Validity of Documents is three (3) months from the date of issue
(unless otherwise stated ).


FILING APPLICATION :

  1. Application should be filed through accredited agencies. (Please see our website for the list of Agents or get one from FAX service by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo, or get one from visa gate of the Embassy.)
      A. Diplomatic or Official Visas
      B. Visas for invitees by the Japanese Government, Organization, Institution, Independent Administrative agencies of Japan.
      C. Visas for a staff who belongs to local subsidiary or joint venture of a company which is listed in the stock market exchange in Japan or the member of the Japanese chamber of commerce in the Philippines.
      D. Visas for scholarship awardees sponsored by the government of Japan.
  2. The applicant may be required to appear in person for interview etc.

NOTICE :

  1. Additional documents may be requested where necessary. Applicants are given three (3) months to submit additional requirements. Otherwise application will be terminated.
  2. Documents submitted for application will not be returned.
  3. Applicants can get information from accredited agencies when his/her application is pending.
  4. When visa is granted, VISA FEE is gratis for this category. (Philippine Passport Holder)
  5. When visa is not granted, the reasons of denial will not be disclosed. Applicants may apply again after six (6) months with the same purpose, unless there are emergency / humanitarian reasons or application for different purpose./span>
  6. When visa is granted, VISA FEE is depending on one's nationality, but most of the countries are approximately 3,000 Japanese Yen equivalent. (The rate may change every fiscal year. Fee must be paid in Philippine Peso only.)
